When peace like a river attended my soul

It has been an eventful week, I have worked four days and they have been rough on me.  Very very busy. Still I enjoyed it I did not loose my touch and noticed I am respected for who I am and what I do.  I haven’t had one single remark about my crooked face.  At the petrol pump there was an old man  trying to pay with his company-card and it didn’t work. He looked very downhearted. I wasn’t the only one and I noticed when he stood back looking annoyed at his card others pushed him aside a bit and finished their business.

Puppy piddles on the expensive floor and a government collapses.

Today I went to work for a day shift,  up early and  it wasn’t  a bad day. When I came home eldest grandchild was there as well, He is eight years old and came by bike. He was playing games  on the computer and decided to stay for dinner also. At about seven pm we brought him back by car, as we don’t like to let him go on his own by bike in the evening.  As we rode through the village where all our children live a nice young lady on a horse came towards us. I stopped the car and opened the window.

A puppy will join the family, will the family join the puppy?

As the children have recovered things are becoming a bit at ease again. Time for some new excitement. Youngest daughter did get a puppy today, a Labrador retriever nine weeks old. They think they are fully prepared for it. The bench is standing in the lounge with a piece of carpet underneath. This afternoon puppy came he sniffed around a bit and had a pee, a bit later he did do a large one as well. They know now if he is sniffing he has to go out but with three small children it isn’t always easy. Doggy got hold of the middle child’s ear  and put his teeth mark into it.

A blade of grass and the power of Prayer

Well, here I am a week after Easter I started this blog a few times. Lots of things happened in that period. The Easter days went nice, on Sunday the grandchildren from son and eldest  daughter came with their parents and had dinner with us. Youngest daughter was with her family away on a short vacation. They came back on Monday evening. While they were away we looked after their three cats two rabbits and two guinea pigs. Their four year old child had a bit tummy pain. Monday evening this pain got worse and he became very ill.

The thin line between a patient and a guinea pig

I had an appointment with the ENT last week. When I came into his surgery the ENT I have seen all the time wasn't there. A young doctor came in with stacks of paperwork and started looking into it. He then looked at me. What can I do for you. he asked. I looked back at him. I think I said It's more like what I can do for you as I am most likely the first and big chance the last one with RHS you will see. He just looked at me and then in the computer so I started to lecture him about RHS and the impact it has on one’s life.

Having a problem for the solution

I did not walk easily, more and more my feet started hurting. Like most things I started to do something about it when I just about couldn’t walk anymore When walking the dog people started asking me about it. I used to point down an remark: “my feet hurt” and  stumble on.  So I went to the doctor who did sent me to a doctor who came up with the problem. Heel spur it was. By now the problem had a name. The doc was going to help me, he told me he would make good inlays for my shoes and the problem would be over.

Lovely little girls selling flowers

Spring is all around, especially on a sunny day like today. While having a walk with the dog I observe the various birds all nicely feathered.  Ducks swim in couples the males nice and colorful, some sitting in the sun gathering energy for the task ahead.  In the park  there’s a fenced off piece for the deer.   It’s not only deer though also goats and just about every animal the villagers want to get rid off. Chickens mainly, even a turkey and a peacock male without a tail. The chickens are large in number especially the roosters in all sizes and colors.

I am glad the dog isn't a parrot

Wednesday. Yes, time flies The heron didn’t have a go at the dummy fish but this might be due to us putting some wire netting over the pond. The package did promise a lot but we decided not to tempt fate, they are still nice and lively and we like to keep it that way.  Monday we did do some gardening and long overdue tidying up. Late in the afternoon just as we were preparing to make dinner and have a nice rest in the evening, telephone. Youngest daughter asks if we can have the little girl for a short while because she has to go to swimming classes with the middle one.

A heron with a sore beak, It's ours.

Sunday,  On Friday it was one of our grandchildren's Birthday.  One of our Son’s children.  First in the morning dear wife went to the PM. The ENT who did put a tube in her ear a few years ago didn’t get any further then to tell that the tube sat in very nicely and that he could not do anything more for her. Her ear is still full that’s why she went to our PM, who advised a second opinion. She came home with a letter and had to make the appointment herself. Usually this takes weeks. Not so this time though, she could come the same day.
