My Prescriptions 3 days after my diagnosis (on 10/5/11):

• Valtrex 500MG
2 Tablets by mouth twice daily for 7 days
I requested the original and not the generic). With my insurance it cost about $50+, but I feel it was worth it.

• Prednisone 10MG
4 x day for 2 days, then 3 x day for 4 days

• DO NOT wear contacts.
