Just over three weeks into this. Face is much improved, even right eyebrow is moving, albeit not as high as the left one yet. Eye was bugging me and I assumed it was just dry. Turns out it had dirt in it and I did not realize. A good reminder to check regularly since it cannot take care of itself yet. I write these things in the hopes this will help someone else. At night I put in ointment and cover with childs eye band aid. I stick it on my arm for awhile first so the sticky part will not stick overly tightly to delicate tissue around eye. This is much more comfortable than patch with band, which aggravates the ear sensitivity. The small size is great as I have small, deep set eyes.

Post herpetic neuralgia is worse and hoping Advil will work. I am not interested in taking extra medications as all have side effects. I am stilling dealing with acne from the steroids!

I am so grateful my face is returning, and there is no synkinesis despite doing intensive acupuncture and even one with electric stimulation. Perhaps in my case it even was helpful. Without studies, we are left with correlations so hard to know. And every state has different requirements for acupuncturists. Oregon is very strict.

I realize, speaking of correlations, that now I am afraid of getting another cold. I will be afraid of a relapse or aggravating my ear. I read of people getting this again.
