Long before I developed RHS I knew that my family was planning a big celebration for my 70th Birthday, which was June 20th. When this illness arrived, I made them promise not to do anything because I felt so disfigured. But, with my increasing improvement, I changed my mind and opted for a small luncheon instead. I sent out invitations to my four daughters, two granddaughters and several of my dearest friends for a "Ladies Luncheon" on the day of my birthday. Just doing that gave me a lift, and I felt better about myself already. On June 9th I saw the Opthomologist again, and he said I was doing well. The dry spots had greatly improved, but I still must keep the eye taped as much as possible. Ugh! |
