Barbara's Diary - Week 32

Day 218 to 224 - Thursday 23rd October - Wednesday 29th October 2003

I have stopped taping my eye during the day. First because the tape was killing my skin and second because I find that using drops or even the ointment keeps it lubricated enough and enables me to go about my life more normally. When I sit at the computer for a long time, or watch TV, and when I am tired, I find I need drops more frequently, so I keep them handy and apply as necessary. Vertigo is the same - no better, but still not enough for concern. I still feel pain when I press on the brow over my right eye and on my right cheekbone. My newest symptom is the sensation of twitching in my right eye when I talk or chew. I feel that my words are falling out of the right side of my mouth as my right eye moves and this feels very uncomfortable. And yet, people don't seem to notice. Most of my friends who saw me at the onset now tell me I look back to normal. - but I know different. I just had my annual physical this week and am in excellent health. When we talked about the RHS his answers were the same as at the beginning: "We just DON"T KNOW how long this can last! Each case is different, as we all know. So on I go, living my life and hoping that someday this will all be a memory..!
