I didn’t get a chance to write on my anniversary because my son in law was still recovering from that traumatic head injury from a baseball. I had been with my daughter and her family for over a week, helping to keep the house running while she went back and forth to the hospital to be with him. By the time I was home again, my anniversary was the last thing on my mind! |
So – Here I am, one year later, and I have almost completely recovered from the worst of the RHS symptoms. I still have twitching in my eye when I chew – in fact in a restaurant I try to keep my head down when chewing, so as not to have some man across the room think I’m trying to flirt! (At my age, though, who am I kidding?) Seriously, I am very self-conscious about this, but no one really seems to notice. I also feel a pulling on my eye when I talk. Again, I don’t think anyone but me is aware of it. When people ask me if I’m “cured” and I tell them to watch my mouth as I speak, they say that it’s noticeable only because I’ve made them aware of it. So I guess that’s a good thing. |
