Well, I went for a retest of my balance factors this morning, and there was improvement! I don't feel that much different, but the Disney World ride thingy they use for testing the strength of various factors in keeping your balance showed that my inner ear, maybe only on the good side, is kicking in a bit at last! (I was tested only 5 weeks ago, and neither side was working to help me keep my balance.) I guess this balance training isn't all hokum after all! The other balance factors are the feeling in my feet, and my vision. The PT said I am still using my vision too much, so she wants me to do more with my eyes closed... things like dancing!!! Yoiks!! |
I’m still dancing a little every day. I’m doing my other balance exercises too: Walking looking left and right, up and down. Standing still with one foot in front of the other while following a moving card with my eyes. Ditto, with moving my head while focusing on a card on the wall. Ditto, with moving both head and card, etc. But the dancing is more fun! |
