Day 512 - Monday 2nd June 2003 |
|
|
After 2 weeks of treatment, I am doing much better. My face is improving, but I still get very tired and my headaches come and go. |
The best way I can describe what I am feeling is "pressurized". I feel like my head is going to explode and has all this pressure behind my eyes and ear. I haven't developed any blisters, though. |
My predisone treatment is very long. After 2 weeks, I have just started the drop to 50mgs. I will be slowly tapering off til mid July. |
I do have the dizziness and some balance problems. From what I have seen described by you and others, though, mine is mild. I just have to catch myself sometimes while walking and, especially when I stand up fast. |
The headaches that I have/had are two types. I have had two or three that were the worst thing that I have ever imagined. Just like you described, my hair was sensitive and it hurt to touch it or anything else to touch it. The other type is a dull pressure type headache that starts in the neck and goes all the way to my forhead. That one remained almost all the time, but is better now finally. |
I just called the nurse to let her know I was doing the B12 vitamines and to update my doc on how I was doing. He will probably call tomorrow and give some input on this. I saw you say the same thing about it on another post, so I thought I better let him know. |

Day 516 - Friday 6th June 2003 |
|
|
I did get a rash this week, but it went away in 2 days. That seems unusual to me from what I have heard. I still have no blisters at all. I am dizzy sometimes, but the headaches are gone. Also, my face is back to just about normal. |
Seems that I am making a very quick recovery. I don't want to speak to soon, but so far I feel very lucky. |
It sure is nice having others to talk to about this that have gone through or are going through the same thing. |
