I went to see the ENT this week. He mentioned Ramsay Hunt Syndrome but said that he wanted to see me again in two weeks because it was a diagnosis that he did not like to give. I don’t have any shingles in my ear but the pain that I am having is not consistent with Bell’s palsy. I have been in terrible amounts of pain and feel horrible. I am tired and am not sleeping. I have been up for over 24 hours three days this week. I saw the acupuncturist for the first time. It helped a bit with the pain that day but it has slowly came back to full force. My NP prescribed Trazadone to help me sleep but it doesn’t really work and one of the side effects is dizziness, which doesn’t help my vertigo at all. It has been a tough week.
