Tiredness: Well it’s been a much, much better week, thank goodness! I’ve been able to enjoy some lengthier walks most days & have even managed some very low level aerobics (twice this week) with lots of stretching to help keep my muscles supple. When you are used to doing so much more it is odd how stiff muscles can get from sitting. So I feel that I’m now at that stage when I can try some gentle exercise as well as walking, as long as I’m careful. At long last!! Or should I say how long will it last??

Face: No change. Eye still very watery, which can make vision a slight problem. Have to make sure tears don’t make skin around the eye too sore. Drafts in house sometimes aggravate it, so I then use patch. Smile still slight.

Balance: Seems pretty normal this week apart from narrow pavements etc. Don’t like walking around town with patch on & hood up when it’s raining. Can’t see anything!!

First night down at pub with brother, aunt & uncle. Left after an hour & ¼ feeling tired & my face just felt odd. It seems that when you have company you are more aware of every movement in your face. It would be so easy to get upset about it but it’s just not worth it. My legs just didn’t want to take me home after just half a lager! Won’t be doing that again for a while - sorry bro!

Have been discussing our holiday arrangements with bro. It’s very exciting! I think it’s very important to have something to look forward to. It helps me stay positive.

Have had most of blood tests back & so far so good. No more complications thank goodness.

Really looking forward to a short visit home next weekend to see my friends & the kiddies! Hopefully I will feel up to driving my car back up here. Yea! More independence. Have borrowed mum’s car…. but that’s only when she’s not at work.

100th Day of Ramsay Hunt on Saturday. Shall I open a bottle of bubbly??? Mmmmmmmm.
