The past fortnight hasn't yeilded anything particularly spectacular in terms of changes in my condition. |
I'm at a position now where time is going to be the most significant healing factor and this may stretch to many months. |
Therefore, I have decided that I'm going to change the frequency of my posts and deliver a weekly diary rather than a daily 'rant and rave.' |
It makes more sense really as the purpose of the diary is a progress report rather than a blog of my daily life! |

After last week's attempts to get my car started after about 2 months off the road, I had to invest in a new battery this week because the old one to dead to save. No worries though... the main thing is that I'm back behind the wheel at last. |
Although I am still a little bit unstable on my feet I have absolutely no problems with vision, judgement, movement etc when I'm driving. I tried driving locally to begin with because I didn't want to jump straight into the 'deep end' if I wasn't up to it. In fact, for the first time in weeks, I was in a position where I was seamingly free from the grips of vertigo. Curious. |
The only problems I have are walking to and from the car!! hehehee. Only joking. |
This week I have felt slightly more unsteady on my feet than of late but I am wondering if this is due to the fact the I'm walking around outside alot more... ie instead of noticing vertigo once a day, I'm noticing it 10 times a day. |
My facial muscles are about the same which means that there is a slight weakness above the lip on the right and my cheekbone is still a bit sore. |
The earache hasn't been a problem this week but I'm quite aware that it is more sensitive than the left ear. When I drive with the window down I can feel a slightly ache so I'm gonna have to be a little bit careful in case I do any damage especially as some cases of Bells palsy have been reported to be as a result of driving with the window down! Hey, maybe it would be a good idea to drive around at night with a balaclava on??? |
