Weak and tired

Straightened up my living room and dusted.

Rested and then unloaded the dishwasher.

Pretty much wore me out for the rest of the day

Went to the ID Specialist and had PICC line removed.

Dawn took me out to eat and then asked me if she could take me to the movies for my birthday. I thought it would be fine since I would just be sitting. It was not until I got into the movies that I realized the sensitivity to sound was going to be a problem!!

By the time she brought me home, I could hardly make it to my front door. Absolutely no energy. Feeling terrible. Bad headache.

Oh my goodness, I have been on so much medication that I have just realized that I have been measuring out 50mls of Nystatin instead of 5!! No wonder it has been so tough to get down!!! I got a real laugh. I got tickled and then couldn’t quit laughing. My stomach hurts!! Well, now it will not be so bad since I am only supposed to be taking 5mls.

Feel really terrible today. Headache and extremely weak. Burning in chest when I breathe in deep. Ate breakfast and begin feeling very nauseated. Went back to bed and slept most of the day. I don’t feel like doing anything. Earache is back. Hearing still extremely sensitive.

Put makeup on. Seeing even more improvement in my face.

Had a hard time getting up this morning. Got ready and went to church. Had to go out into the vestibule due to the music was too loud. Had to put tissue in my ear to tolerate the noise. Still headache and earache. Appetite good today. Came home from church and slept.

Feeling a little discouraged seeing improvement in my face but not in the way I feel. The exhaustion is horrible. I don’t feel like doing much of anything.

Walked down to in-laws two doors down. Wind is cold. Worried about what I read about cold causing relapse.

Spent this evening trying to recall and journal my progress. Hopefully it will help someone else and be encouraging.

This syndrome seems to have so many questions and it seems like there is not really anyway to ask your doctor “is this normal?” when things are going on with your body cause they really are not sure what’s normal with RHS.

Interestingly enough, I have had a runny nose throughout on and off.

Got up feeling pretty good this morning. Had a hard time going to sleep last night due to not taking my sleeping pill after the steroids. Did some laundry and made beds. Had a visitor. Ate a good lunch. I had to take some meds due to my head and ear hurting. I am kind of surprised I am still having head and ear pain. My face is still improving. My left eye is beginning to blink on it’s own some today.

Today I drop down to 15mg a day of Prednisone. Hopefully this will help the problem of going to sleep. Feeling very fatigued this evening. I do notice a big difference in not having taken the Restoril or Phenegran in the last twelve hours. I am looking forward to having all this junk out of my system so maybe I will feel better.

Today is my birthday!! Happy to be here!!

I got up at 6:00am and went in to school today. Just watched as a spectator basically. Graded some papers and made some copies. Came home around noon. Took about a two-hour nap. Feeling tired. This evening I started having pain down into my neck, arm and side. I called the dr. and she said this was normal with RHS. She said to take pain meds and rest. I am very disappointed my body does not seem to be healing as quickly as my face. I don’t get it. I just have to remember God is in control and to keep trusting and praying.

The doctor called in Ambien so I can sleep while taking the Prednisone. Had to take two Vicodin and the Ambien and went to bed.

Still having aches down the left side of neck and shoulder. Stayed home. Slept for about three hours this morning. Have a headache and earache.

Checked the RHS website. Did find out others have experienced neck pain during recovery.

Took a hot bath, Vicodin and Ambien and went to bed.
