I am 37 years old and live in Fargo, North Dakota, USA.

Until recently I had never heard of Bell's Palsy. I never imagined an illness like this could strike me. But one morning I woke up and felt that my lips felt a little funny. Within 48 hours the left side of my face was almost completely frozen.

I'm one of the lucky ones and my recovery has been rapid. But those first few days were certainly stressful and finding information from others on the internet was a big help. So, I'd like to add my experience to Rob's terrific web page so that others may have some comfort and hope that recovery is possible.

I believe stress and a bad cold led to my BP, so the most important thing I can suggest to anyone is find time to relax.

Remove the stresses from your life as much as possible and let your body heal itself.
