Dizzy, Sore, and Swollen

At breakfast, I noticed that my right ear felt a little plugged up and I had a little soreness and swelling in the cheek in front of that ear. Great, my always-tender saliva glands are swelling in response to the oncoming cold... this cold will be a bad one! Later, at the Saturday morning workshop, I noticed that I was a bit light-headed, but this could be the normal slight vertigo I get every time my ears block up a bit.

There were no workshops scheduled for this afternoon. I felt a bit tired, so I skipped the Keene Pumpkin festival and antiques shopping trips various friends had planned. This cold coming on and the vigorous exercise are making me so tired, I opted for a nap instead. This evening, I felt rested, so we further mutilated our feet by dancing all evening. The light-headedness was still there, along with a strangely disconnected feeling. But, as long as I didn’t allow the men to twirl me around too much, I was dancing just fine. Even though the swelling was worse, we stayed again for the after-party.
